Herbal Safety

Herbal formulas should be consumed with caution and preferably at the direction of a healthcare professional who has been trained in herb safety. If you have any undesirable reaction to a tisane (herbal tea) or herbal preparation, consult a professional familiar with both herbal formulas and your health status.

Combining herbal products and prescription medicine should be done with extra caution. Many pharmacists are not familiar with drug-herb interactions and may not warn you about complications of taking the two in combination unless you specifically ask them to find the information.

Bulk herbs are natural products. It is completely normal for variations in color and appearance between one batch and the next. Exposure to air and other factors will also change the appearance of bulk herbs over time.
